You’re Not a Door Accessory... You’re the Whole Damn Door

Life can be harder on us for a couple of reasons.

It's not you. It never was!

The more you continue to beat yourself up, the more you lose yourself in the process.
You're too much of an asset.
Who else is going to make those bomb ass cookies? The original baker has passed away and left you the recipe.
Come on, man.

IT has taken me so long to remember who I was outside of being a mom and sister.
The years I spent raising children that weren't even mine to begin with.
Not because I even wanted to, I physically had no choice.
So please, for the sake of your sanity, PLEASE don't work yourself for anyone in any way.
Fight the battles slowly; you do NOT have to add more than is needed.

From one tired ma to the next, please take better care of yourself.
breathe much longer, and stop being the first one to hop up and handle the problems.
They were always there; they will always be there.
especially if your family is as chaotic as mine.
problems come out the boatload!

Need I remind you, though, that those problems do NOT have to make you be the one to always sacrifice your sanity. damn, what's a woman got to do to get a glass of wine around here and sip it like it's the last bottle.
Then laugh your ass off at the way they all handle the situation; they'll learn to leave you out of it. ha-ha.
I've never had anyone there for me in the ways I've always been to them; It was very tiresome, not only on my mind, but my body. I truly never realized how much of myself I've been sacrificing.
My whole ENTIRE childhood up until I had my own.

The truth is, it was never about you. They just needed an assistant, one they never had to pay.
You were always there.
So why not use you?

THAT. STOPS. NOW.

You're not her anymore, you don't belong as a door accessory, when you're the whole FlURCKING DOOR.

The entrance to heaven is YOU. You've been guiding everyone for as long as you can remember, not the other way around. So please take pride in the steps you've walked; it was further than a mile, that's for sure!

I’ve carried enough. Fixed enough. Given enough.
They can knock all they want!!! I’m done being the accessory.
I am the whole damn door. 🚪✨
For the women who’ve always held it down: this one’s for you.
